A little while ago, Philip contacted me to get some ideas about doing a surprise proposal photo shoot in Paris. I was absolutely thrilled to take part in such a fun and exciting moment! We carefully went over all the details and set our plan in motion.
He told his soon-to-be fiancée Maya that they were heading to Paris for a business trip and that they had an important lunch event that was just around the Bir Hakeim bridge. It was a pretty busy afternoon at this spot (tourists, several other couples with their photographers and not one, but THREE bridal shoots). We managed to get a corner just for us (all while keeping Maya unaware) and then the moment finally came! I was nearby pretending to be an average tourists, while I had a backpack of Moet & Chandon and two cameras under my giant scarf. Click click click and I got the whole proposal on camera.
When the shock and surprise wore off, we popped the champagne and took a little photo tour around the area. It was a chilly December day, but Philip and Maya had the bubbly (and loooooove) to keep the warm and beautiful Parisian winter light that made the photos really glow. Sigh…so romantic!
